Chef MonaLiza came from humble beginnings. Being raised by a single working mother, she spent most of her time in her grandmothers kitchen, where she was constantly cooking up new savory dishes from her homeland of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. She started to help her with chores around the kitchen, and soon developed a love for the different techniques used to roll out soft samsa dough, and the techniques how to make the most delicious Plov. She was inspired by how food can tell a story and convey cultural ideas, as well as how it brings people together. Her current position as cater and food manufacturer. MonaLiza immigrated to USA in 1993. Lives in New York City. Graduated InterBoro institute in 2001, as a business manager. Graduated Beauty Science and became a hairdresser and business owner. That did not stop her, she always wanted to cook in huge kitchens. She started a cooking channel where people fallowed her from all over the world. Her followers were inspired because she brought back recipes that were forgotten years ago. Then in 2020 she started to do catering where she specializes in a unique and very popular Uzbek dish called Plov. Now she decided to make her own stake sauces and sweet jams with natural fruits, and vegetable spreads like Ekra from eggplant. Now she creates her own recipes, has strong influence from Middle East. On her spare time she does food tasting to the big supermarkets where her products are sold. Every meal that she creates reflects these values, providing not only excellent taste, but also nourishment for the mind and body!
